A SAFETY SIGN THAT COULD SAVE MANY YOUNG Children’s LIVES

by gabbic1219 in Activism, October 20, 2008

HERES A SIGN I THINK MIGHT BE WORTH LOOKING INTO,
I AM A FIRM BELIEVER IN SOME SMALL THINGS CAN MAKE A HUGE DIFFERENCE.

I was sitting here and realizing all the preventable loss of tots and infants. Every summer you hear of the unthinkable, how does one leave their children in a hot scolding car ?I can not  simply fathom it but it happens , whether its pure neglect or  the effect of fast pace workin mom’s and dad’s just forgetting they had their child in the car. I say to myself , what is it we can do to prevent such tragedy? These  innocent little angels can not speak for themselves, windows up, temperature rising to dessert like degrees, no air nothing but suffocation and despair. We can stand up and be heard, I see signs that say . . . . No shirt, no shoes, no service and Shoplifter’s will be prosecuted . So what if we could get a law or petition to post a sign at major corporations , malls and shopping centers even business offices posting . . . . . Did you leave someone or something you love in your car today, due to rising temperatures please check!

It can not be much to ask for and it’s cost is no more than other signs you see in business doors or windows. I as a mother want to put a message out there, it may be by accident or pure neglect but it does not have to happen as often as we hear. My heart goes out to the families that have suffered such a horrible tragedy for they have to live with the fact that their minds were elsewhere and forgetful of the most precious thing in their life, their child. The one who can not say please get me out of here or you forgot about me. It is not only parent’s it is babysitters and family members as well. So if anyone is in favor please read this article and pass it on, it may save many little children’s lives that are in a buckled seat and can not save themselves from such a devastating death! Please think seriously about the signs we see in many places and picture this on a store door in bold writing. I feel it could drastically decrease the number of death rates if people see this sign and realize before it’s to late.

It happened to my husband’s niece who went inside our car when it was being parked. The driver, a friend of ours had forgotten that the little girl was inside. The car was covered and it was only when the little girls’ mother came looking for her that they realized that maybe she was left inside the car. When I opened the car door, she was indeed inside…perspiring and crying so heavily. Thank God she was safe.

If we all contact the local officials in our neighborhoods, each can make a difference. Good thought, my friend!

i feel this is a simple sign that can be put up every where…..it does not take much time to make a sign ,their are sign buisness or even a piece of paper w/ bold lettering…..these are children, please for their lives are worth a simple cheap sign.i notice all the other little signs in stores and if someone saw this it could make them realize OH MY GOSH….I HAD MY SON OR DAUGHTER …ETC/W/ME AND THEY CAN GO BACK BE4 ITS TO LATE!

What a wonderful idea. I don’t have children but, I have animals. The same law can be applied to both.

I agree w/ this. I have a little girl that is 2. she is my life and i couldn’t handle it if something tragic happened to her. you are right about them not being able to express themselves like us. Why don’t some people understand that? this is a great idea.

The intention here is fantastic as you are correct, it happens all too often. Yes, we should pass this around so no one ever just ‘forgets’. Ezxcellent write my friend. Michael
