A Source of Life
Water is a very big source of life. It’s very rare that people do really realize that water is a very important part of our living.
Water is essential for all forms of living beings surviving on the earth. Water has forms other than just the liquid form which is solid form as ice, gaseous form as vapors. Water is used for many many different purposes basically by human beings. We use it for drinking, cooking, washing clothes, cleaning or house, cleaning Utensils, cleaning our body and so on.

In Indian language there is a saying that; “Fish is the queen of water, her life is water. If we touch her she is afraid and if we remove her out of water it dies.” It’s the same for human beings too, tough we don’t leave in water but we leave or survive because of water. If there is no water we can not survive. It is a big source of oxygen too for our body.

Many people complain that, they are facing shortage of water. But some people are just wasting water for fun or for time pas or for some reason. There are places where there is no shortage of water, but is in excess quantity. As it is excess the people using it do not really realise the real use of it.

People waste water by keeping the water taps open even when they are not near it and not using the water. Kids are left unattended to play with the water in this summer. I remember seeing a scene where a female washing clothes leaves the tap on and the water is flowing down without any use.
People in the world should understand the real use of water very soon otherwise our generations to come will really not have water to even drink and will die out of thirst. Water is a very essential part in our lives, but we should not waste it at any cost.

I’ve been teaching my kids not to waste water. They won’t even play outside with the water unless they ask if it’s okay first.

That’s nice to hear, Darla. Good article. Scientists and others have been warning us of future water wars.
