Animal Cruelty: Why Do We Blame China?
by This is not a link trying to get people to become vegans, only trying to make people aware that China is no worse than any other nation in terms of the suffering of animals. We all commit crimes of cruelty.
It is not hard to find horrifying graphic pictures, or videos, of animal abuse in other countries. We often have fingers pointed to China for their cruelty in terms of skinning cats alive. We point the finger at Africa for killing Rhinos for their horns, leaving their bodies to rot in the sun. How many people willingly look at what happens to animals in their own country, or how their own country drives the cruel practices in other nations?
While being skinned alive cannot be pleasant for a cat, the products made from the cats hide are often sold to other countries, I myself have seen them in a store where I worked. Formed into tiny animals, some even were made into cat shapes that moved and “purred” when you touched them. Creepy! So who is to blame? The Chinese for skinning the cats, or us, for buying the products, and wanting them made cheap enough we can buy them?
In Africa Rhinos are being poached, the fact that they are endangered is irrelevant to the cruelty of killing an animal for nothing but its horn, yet in other countries, like the one you are living in right now, animals are being killed all the time. Tossed into plastic bags and thrown on the road or drowned, disowned and left to starve. Many animals are killed simply because people here allow their pets to breed indiscriminately and force animal shelters to deal with the excess unwanted pets. Not to mention those animals killed only so we can have a fancy fur coat.
Not to mention what nations are buying the products made from killing endangered animals, it is certainly not impoverished countries, it is the wealthy. Exported to other countries, like yours and mine, illegal animal products are occasionally caught at customs.

Some cities even kill dogs that are loved pets, simply because city laws have ruled them to be the “wrong” breed. Denver in the United States is one such are where even nice dogs are killed for this reason, and this reason alone.

Animal abuse goes endless so does human right violations. We could only try our best to do what we feel is right I suppose as we couldn’t will anything to happen. A nice wake up call, Brenda.

Yes, animal cruelty goes on every day in America and Canada. Yes, this needs to be stopped.
BUT
Does that mean that skinning animals alive in China isnt as bad? In my opinion, to have a cat skinless, lying there in its own blood, trying to breathe… is worse than giving a homeless cat a lethal injection. Yes we have an overpopulation of animals, but what if we were to stop with the letal injections and just start to skin these stray cats alive? then we could have their fur at least, right? Wrong. If America started to skin cats alive for their fur, even if they were going to be killed anyways, there would be an uproar. That sort of thing is just, wrong.
People kick their dogs and throw their cats out, yes, probably. But this doesnt compare to the hundreds of thousands of animals being tortured every single day in china. Did you know, that in China there is a dish called Bosintang, which translates to “Dog Meat Soup”? Yes, this is made from dog meat. Did you also know, that the Chinese beleive that the more pain an animal suffers before its death, will make it a better meal? They beleive that the animals adrenaline, its rush, will be transferred to them when they eat it. Therefore, before a dog or puppy is even killed to eat, they hang them by one foot, or their throats, they cut them and pinch them, bring open flames to their bodies, kick them and punch them, and just try their best to cause the dog pain?
Yes, there is abuse in our own countries that needs to be adressed. But it is nothing compared to the Hell on Earth that goes on in the black markets of China every day. OPEN YOUR EYES….. SPREAD THE WORD, JOIN PETA, SIGN THE PETITIONS TO STOP THE CRUELTY…………….IN CHINA, AND IN OUR OWN COUNTRIES!!!

Whoever wrote this article is a total moron and this should be removed. He states that “for cats bein skinned alive is not PLEASANT!! what an idiot…its dogs and cats being skinned alive, they are hung with a hook through their chin and then they skin them ALIVE.. the animal lives for 5-10 minutes after that in just sheer agony…Why? the chinese said skinning them alive the coats come off much easier.
The U.S. does not skin any animal alive.
The reason people are talking about China dog and cat farming Mr Stupid is so that people will know how and where that fur on the jackets comes from…then they will quit buying it!! China supplies over 83% of the worlds fur. that equates to MILLIONS of dogs and cats skinned alive
Whoever wrote this article is extremely ignorant and has no facts.
Check with PETA and all the other humane organizations trying to stop this..

@Chrissy i do not trust PETA at all especially if they kill off over 80% of animals they are trusted with to find a shelter
plus China still get fur because other countries demands them and are unwilling to do it them self if they suddenly stop wanting fur then ya China will stop making fur but the demanding won’t stop because they very people who are against the skinning want the fur
