Animal Rights

A discussion on animal rights.

Hello and welcome to my article on Animal Rights! That’s right, the thing that meat-eaters hate, and vegetarians love! If you’re going to trash me because of this, hit the back button, or press the following key comination Alt + F4. Now that we’ve weened the crowd down to those truly interested, hows about we get to the discussion? First, i figured i’d like to say, I’m a vegetarian, you can live and be active without meat. I am a skater, and play guitar. Both of which are fairly active things. This article will be divided into sections, Ways animal rights are observed, The fight, Organizations, what YOU can do, and Conclusion. Have fun and i hope you become enlightened.

Observation

Going Veg, that means being vegetarian or vegan. This is fairly easy, I quit cold turkey (no pun intended). Not wearing animal products, again easy. No more leather, or wool pretty much. I wear Chuck Taylor Converse shoes, they only use Canvas. Spreading the word, the deplorable Industry-Standard conditions animals are kept in are insane, head over to google and look up Meet your Meat.

Organizations

PETA: the world’s leader in animal rights activism, founded by Ingrid Newkirk. PETA2: The teen and music scene’s PETA. The Vegan society, They started Veganism and choose to do anything humanly possible to avert the suffering of animals.

What YOU Can Do

Simply Go Veg. Visit PETA, and PETA2. join the A-Team if you’re an adult, or the Street-Team if You’re a Teen. Speak up! let people know!

Conclusion

Try out animal rights. Do it for them, do it for you, do it for the world. I cannot stress enough how important it is to consider animals as equivilent to humans. “The greatness of a nation can be judged by the way it’s animals are treated”-Mahatma Gandhi.
