Barbie is Anorexic, High Heels are Both Useful and Dangerous

Some funny facts I recently stumbled upon.

The symbol of women’s beauty that is so popular among the little girls – the Barbie doll – is anorexic. This conclusion was made by the Galya Slayen who conducted a very interesting experiment. The recreated Baribie in real human height, strictly following all proportions of the original doll. It turned out that these proportions were unhealthy and the famous doll should never become a role model for the young girls. The modified doll was 174 cm (six feet) tall, and the bust was almost 100 cm (39 “). These proportions very much resembled the colorful shapes Pamela Anderson has. Doll’s waist was only 45 cm (18 “), hips – 83 cm (33 “). If mass index is calculated upon these measures, the diagnosis would be anorexia.

New Zealand experts recently discovered that walking on high heels is a wonderful training exercise for all muscles than any other sports acitivity. They are especially useful for the legs. Unfortunately such shoes can be very dangerous as well. Many test results have shown that traumas, following walking on high heels, were much more complex and severe than sports traumas. The most common trauma for the ladies is dislocation or breaking of the ankle, even head traumas. Besides, young women, who prefer high heels, suffer feet deformations. The experts keep reminding that the higher the heels are, the more pressure occurs on the spinal cord.

This is true but women nowadays preferred high heels for attending parties and other events. Sure enough, they knew the consequences, but fashion speaks louder than traumas.
