Charitable Friendship Part One
Friendship is the foundation of charitable works.
They say friends are the family we never had. Since we cannot choose the family that we were born with, we choose the friends we want to be with. Friends are the spice of our lives and most of the times we are closer to them than any one in our family. We share with them our vision, our simple aspirations and the best of our selves. I am glad to have found true friends who share the same passion with me: charitable work.
Since working in Manila about six years ago, I have rekindled my friendship with some Capuleno friends and made new ones. I make it an effort to go to birthday parties, simple get together for whatever reason and parties to celebrate special occasions like Christmas and New Year and out of town trips. Occasions such as these make the friendship more cohesive.

New Year is another occasion for friendships to be forged and be more cohesive. We have been doing this for at least four years at Jolina’s old house in San Mateo. This year, we may have a new venue: Jolina’s new house in Fairview.
We would be present in each others birthday and we go out of town together.

Through these occasions, our brainchild as a group was born: the Capul Pink Organization or the CPO.
The CPO
Finding more profound meaning to one’s existence was the reason for the inception of CPO. Being a member of the gay community, we want to show the world that we are responsible citizens. We want to help in our own little way. The group was founded in Malanday, Marikina on December 2, 2008 during the birthday celebration of our founding president, Mansuet Cabacang while I was appointed the internal vice president.
We celebrated our being organized as a group through a party with exchange gift, singing and dancing.
