Credit Card Boycott

If we all join forces, we can make a difference in the way credit cards charge us interest and late payment fees.

What can we do to deter the credit card companies from charging us the high interest rates and persist in slapping up with outrageous late fees?  The one thing that we can do to make them change in more ways than one is to totally boycott them. If we try to not use them at all for at least 30 days, we may just be able to start making a difference.  Credit card companies are multi million dollar corporations.  Millions of us across the world need to forget about using them in order to make a dent in their daily revenue.  If we unite, our actions will be felt far and wide. Perhaps then they will think about changing the many “policies” they have that work against the consumer and only for the credit card company.  Right now we have no voice.

There seems to be nobody on our side. Our government is just now taking a look at the unfair practices of these companies.  These unfair practices have been taking place for decades and nothing has been done. Day by day, the credit card comapanies are earning millions just with the money they charge us in interest rates, late fees, membership fees, overlooked double charges and overcharges.  The credit card companies are totally in control when it comes to taking our hard earned money. Then, we face tumbling credit scores if we fail to give them what they want–that is automatic with no way around it and no negotiating.  What kind of business is that? That’s an exploitation of consumers and their money.  Only we can help eachother!

This nonsense must stop now!  We work way too hard for our money to “give it away” to million dollar companies.

Let your friends know how you feel. You can start by emailing this out to people you know.  Remember the little mouse that suddenly took control of the lion….we can do this!

    Gemini3,
Though your intentions are honorable to try to send a message to the credit card industry I can only say 1) contact the BBB to log disputes of unfair practices like radical APR changes from fixed to variable rates or any other “theft” and 2) contact your state representative AND senator as these “gentlemen” have the only power to do something. I’m not a big fan of government intervention as we live in a capitalistic country and I understand that these companies are in business to make money, BUT not by their means of breeching their contract with anyone who applies. Loop holes like their ability to change at any time for any reasons need to be removed along with if you disagree they close your account. How about just leaving the terms I agreed to whatever they maybe? Their lobbyists are fighting congress not to interfer and are winning. The lobbyists mention that the market would dictate how things pan out, but when all these companies enter into “collusion” how does the market dictate if the market is telling them its a joke. Keep the faith, close the account and apply for another one for the short term as terms seem to change annually.
