Dog Abuser Being Tracked Down with The Help of Facebook Users
An unintentional discovery of a video brought an animal abuse case into light.
A video posted on Facebook of a man abusing a poodle had been circulating around for the past three days had caught the attention of SPCA Singapore. In the video, the man is seen training the dog to stand on its hind legs. It is really a difficult video to watch especially when you are an animal lover. For 15 minutes, the man is seen scolding, smacking and kicking the frightened dog like a rag doll. (I decided not to insert the disturbing video here but you can find it on Youtube).

The SPCA immediately set up a Facebook page to find information about the dog abuser and within 1 day, Facebook users had identified the culprit and provided information about him. The man in the video was identified as a Malaysian and Facebook users even provided his address and car plate number. All the information had been gathered and send to SPCA Selangor, Malaysia. The SPCA there had since send the information to the authorities in Selangor to take the necessary action. Enraged Facebook users wants the culprit to brought to justice. The video was first uploaded by someone who found a disposed thumbdrive while in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Now the video exposing the name of the abuser had been uploaded on Youtube as well.
According to Chong Poh Choo, education officer with SPCA Singapore, there are two types of animal abuse- intentional and unintentional. Most animal abuse cases are when people neglect and do not take care of their pets. Animal abuse have been on the rise last year and 15% of the animals in the reported complaints were found seriously injured or dead. As an animal lover myself, I hope the culprit gets arrested and brought to justice soon.
In the animal kingdom no humans exists,
But in the human world there are animals.

It is so good to hear that this person has been identified and action is being taken, and also that Facebook was used for such a good reason. I am an animal lover also, so I am so very pleased to hear about this, although I would not watch the video. Thank you for not posting it here, because I would have felt compelled to watch it, and would have been very upset by it. A great post Sharif.

I can’t imagine why people can be so cruel to abuse animals. Hope this person gets what he deserves.

The perpetrator never had an inkling that he will get in trouble. But there are always ways of being found out. Sometimes, humans do behave more like wild animals.

Humanity is slowly coming down and people are not bothered about abusing animals as well as fellow human beings. Hope this situation is put to an end.

Did this poor excuse for a human being really video himself abusing that dog or was it a concerned citizen? How or who ever i am glad the monster was exposed. Kudos to the face book family & the ASPCA.
Thank you for letting us know about this.

Is he human? If one cannot do kind things, at least don’t do evil things. This man needs a major overhauling.
Glad that this man is caught, so FB can be awesome, not awful only (as what Davianita said on her recent post).
I actually heard a bit about this news, but did not read in details, thanks for sharing with us, friend.

This type of action just sickens me! I hope this low life is brought to justice and NEVER allowed to own a pet again. Animals walk on two legs, not four.

Facebook certainly has its uses. I hope this person is prosecuted. There is far too much animal cruelty in the world today. Good work, Sharif.

This is quite disturbing but glad to know that Facebook was instrumental in tracking down this demon. News about animal abuse have been increasing lately so animal lovers and animal rights activists have to work doubly hard to protect our animals.

Thank you for not putting the video in your artcle. I can’t take abuse to anybody or anything. I hope this man gets caught and goes to jail forever. Especially since an animal can’t fight back.

I am an animal lover and it angers me to no end how some people can abuse such trusting creatures. To me, it is hardly any different than abusing innocent children. Woe on anyone I catch abusing any animal!

This article brought tears to my eyes, just reading your description of what this horrible man did to that poor dog… I won’t be watching the video it’ll be too much to handle, People do some horrible things, but at least this man’s horrible acts were caught on video. I hope he gets in a LOT of trouble!
I remember a case kinda like this where these teenage girls got in trouble because they gave extacy to a 3 year old and video taped her when she was under the influence of the drugs. Some people are so horrible.

Good to know it’s being tracked down. I say ‘it’s’ because it is not a human in my opinion.
Hope they find him.

Facebook can be useful, like in this case. Glad you didn’t put it in the video – I wouldn’t have been able to watch it. I despise animal abusers. Remember, we humans are animals, too…and the most cruel.
