E85

How E85 can help solve our energy problems.

E85 is like a newborn child. It is so new that we don’t have any idea of its possible opportunities or its many uses. E85 is a better choice for cars. E85 is better for our environment, economy and can be used as long as we grow corn.

E85 is a good choice for our environment. First it burns cleaner then gasoline and is a potential for pollution reduction. Secondly E85 will lead to less oil spills. Over 706 million gallons of oil have been spilled and over 1 million animals have died. This has happened because of many accidents, including malfunctions of tankers and even carelessness. They have solutions to clean the water but the only way to make sure it doesn’t get polluted would be to stop drilling oil.

Another key fact is that our oil is only going to last us another 33 years the way we are consuming it. If we start using E85 it could possibly abate the speed of consumption. If we stopped drilling for oil we would be able to transfer the land needed to drill that oil into a form of farming that would help us make E85. If we used E85 more then other fuels it would leave the environment in better shape.

E85 will help our economy. E85 would help our economy by supplying more jobs in the United States and giving money to farmers instead of oil rig owners. If we started to use E85 we could hire more farmers, and people to refine the corn. This can help to lower the unemployed rate. This would help to keep money in the United States instead of other countries. George Bush stated this in one of his speeches:

It’s very important for us to remember that we still have an issue when it comes to dependence on foreign oil. One way to become less dependent on foreign oil is for us to develop new ways to power our automobiles right here in America. One of these ways is to start relying on E85.

Finally we can manage our own prices for the E85. We can change the price of E85 at our own free will. Other Countries will not be in so much control over our economy because we could change the prices and amount that is produced.

E85 can and probably will be made for many years. E85 means 85% ethanol (corn) and 15% oil. We can continue to grow corn for many future generations. Can we continue to find oil? The answer is no! Oil has only a limited supply. Like I said earlier oil is only going to last us another 33 years as were consuming but corn can continue to be grown for many years after that. Any corn stalk can be converted into E85 if you have the right chemicals and equipment.

If we had more people selling the corn to people that process the ethanol we could have a larger supply of E85.Corn is fairly easy to grow. You need seed, fertilizer, moisture and land to grow corn. This is much easier to find then to go all the way around the world looking for some more oil, Pulling up millions of dollars worth of machinery, drilling the oil and then hafting to go out and look for more.

In conclusion E85 is a better choice for cars. It is a better choice for the environment, the economy, and even for the future. If we switch to E85 it could lead to better jobs, a better world for our future generations and we can preserve what oil we have left for a future time. E85 is the way to go.
