Female Infanticide

It is the activity of killing a girl child before her birth at the stage when she was an infant. This is really a bad and punishable act, which is done by the people who wants male child.  Through the process of Amusanticide  the fluid in which an embryo exists taken out to check the gender of the child. When people come to know that the child is a female they do infanticide or in other words they kill that embryo. This is a harsh reality. This activity is banned  in all over the world and consider as illegal. The person who do this is punishable in terms of LAW. But this activity is still happening in some countries like in India and some other underdeveloped countries. People gives bribe to doctors and doing such criminal acts without any fear. This act only leads to poor female ratio among males.

There are not particular reasons behind female infanticide but some which are in my knowledge and some most famous reasons I suppose are:

1. From the very first day of the girl child, people in India and some other countries assumes that a girl is a burden, she is not their own but she is a property of someone else (in marriage aspects she has to go with her husband after marriage that’s why they think so). Because of dowry system in India parents has to give huge amount and some other costly gifts to girl’s husband, and some people can’t afford it. Though dowry system is also banned and punishable but still no marriage in India done without giving dowry. So this is a major problem for a family to get huge money for girl’s marriage. People use to think about this problem from very first day so expects to have a boy instead of girl. This is the main reason behind female infanticide
2. Tradition:-This is the second most reason. Tradition decides the mentality of some people, In fact some Educated people often believe to  have boys because it will helps them in their posterity or helps them in increasing their population. but why the hell they don’t even understand that for future generation they will also need a  girl for their boys.
3. Support in old age:- some people wants only male child because they think that girl has to go with her husband but only boy will become their old age support. Why they don’t see that even some boys leave their parents alone in old age homes.
4. 4].Poverty:- The fourth reason is might be poverty. Some families don’t have enough money to to get at least one  day meal. and as i told you earlier that people assumes that girl child is a burden for them as they has to pay a lot for her marriage. They don’t even have money to get their children educated so they don’t prefer to have a girl child and wants boy who would help him in earning money.
5. Illiterates:People are still illiterate and don’t even understand what is right and what is wrong. such people do such criminal act usually.
6. Lack of awareness:- It is also one of the reasons.
7. Superstition:-There are also some superstitious thoughts behind this.
8. Domineering society:- The society is more domineering by male, so people having male child feels proud in themselves and make others frustrate who have girl child.
9. Insecurity:-Because society is domineering by male so people feel insecure about girls that anything can be happen with girl so they don’t prefer to have girl child.

Remedies/measures should be taken to reduce this:-

1. By spreading awareness among society.
2. By providing proper education to the people of slum areas.
3. By improving literacy.
4. Change in mentality of the society about girls.
5. Laws should be more strict and more punishable. Laws should not only in white and black or in written form but must be practiced.                                        

Save girl child and save the world

Save girl child if you don’t want to make 3rd world war for girl.
