Firemen Washing Cars for Charity This Saturday!
The new website Sutton Coldfield News is supporting their local firemen who are washing cars for charity this Saturday. Their chief roving reporter (Wilma Proops) has flown in from Hollywood to take seven of her friends cars to be washed. Find out why in this article…
Wilma Proops, the chief reporter for the new Sutton Coldfield News website is always home in the Royal Borough of Sutton Coldfield for the third Saturday in June. This is no coincidence as the firemen of Sutton Coldfield – based in Lichfield Road (opposite the college and next to the police station and magistrates’ court) put on their charity car washing event on the third Saturday of every June.

This is the venue for the Charity Car Wash held at the Fire Station every year – get your car washed by firemen – all proceeds go to charity.
Wilma Proops will be supporting the firemen and having the cars of seven friends washed for them. If her friends can’t drive themselves, Wilma will drive to the charity car wash and return the cars clean and gleaming. Wilma also pays! Why does this happen every year?
