When one speaks of divination or the telling of fortunes, we often think of tarot cards, I-Ching or perhaps the runes. We choose the oracle that speaks to us and then cast it to catch glimpses of our present situation or perhaps our future. Yet there is another oracle that is often overlooked that can greatly detect how our life is going and where we are likely to be heading. This oracle is our own personal environment.

Look around at where you find yourself and the situation that you find yourself in. There is no better gauge than this in detecting how you are creating your reality around you. If you see a lot of tension or anger or discord then you are being given a wonderful sign that the way you think and operate within the world needs to be changed. You can then start to work on your thought processes and realign yourself in a more harmonious way to your true nature. There really could be no better way than this to discover where you are NOW, for predicting the future is pointless if you are still going to take your deep rooted belief patterns with you. You may come into money, or a great relationship yet it might not last long if you still hold onto the conflict that you carry with you. By seeing up close and personal exactly what you are manifesting right here and right now, you are given a wonderful opportunity to finally rid yourself of old thought patterns and habits.

Now, from a purely divining perspective, one can use the immediate environment as a most remarkable tool. As in the tarot or the runes or even good old tea leaves, one would sit and think upon a question and allow the Universe to then flow through the medium of the environment. This author has had on many occasions remarkable episodes with this form of divination. From seeing a highly specific sign written on the side of a truck driving by, or a bill board as I have been driving or the sudden laughter of a baby as I ask the question “am I on the right track?” All of these experiences show that the Universe and the Universal Source is always listening and always waiting eagerly to give you the gifts that are your birthright. Gifts of abundance, prosperity, fulfilment and pure happiness. So next time you are sitting in the park, for example, mulling over a particular question, just stop and silently scan your environment. Allow your self to be open to anything. Suspend judgement and allow the Universe to speak directly to you through the symbolism of the place in which you find yourself. The rewards gained by this simple method are indeed immeasurable. The interpretation of the signs and symbols will be through your feelings and emotions. When you know that you have been given an indicator you will be moved. There will be an experience of “ah-ha” or a gut feeling of relief as you align yourself automatically with the very workings of the Cosmos.

At all times you are connected to your Source. at all times you have access to abundance and peace and fulfilment. I fact it is your birthright and the reason you are here; to experience this, to expand it and to create with it. Enjoy the journey!
