What is Soles4Souls?
Soles4Souls is a non-profit organization that was created to provide new shoes to give relief to victims of abject suffering and to provide used shoes to support micro-business efforts to eradicate poverty.
The concept of Soles4Souls is simple. Shoes are received and they are distributed to those in need. Soles4Souls is changing the world one pair at a time.
This organization was born one year after Katrina hit. Wayne Elsey started all of this originally in 2004 when the tsunami hit Southeast Asia. After making a few calls to some executives in the footwear industry a donation of a quarter of a million shoes were sent to victims in the devastated countries. After Katrina hit the gulf coast, over a million pairs of shoes were donated to the gulf coast communities.

Wonderful cause. Shoes are things people don’t think of when helping disaster victims. But without adequate shoes, the discomfort can be unbearable.
