Here are Four Ways New Cars Today Use Less Gas and Why is Fuel Economy is Important?

In this article it will explain why fuel economy is important and how new cars in today market are making the most to use less gas therefore letting consumers save more in their pocket.

Here are four ways new cars today use less gas and why is fuel economy is important?

(A) Direct injection: Direct injection which mixes fuel and air in the cylinder instead of the intake manifold, created more power and uses less gasoline than traditional fuel injection. This is a new technology that many new cars are using, but you could not find it in vehicles just a few years ago.

(B) Deactivating: Many of today’s cars use variable displacement technology that deactivates some cylinders when they are not needed. This means a car can have V-8 power when you step on the gas, but it might only run on four cylinders when cruising.

(C) Turbochargers: People often think of turbo car as high performance vehicles, but the same concept can actually be used to save fuel. It means more power can be produces from a smaller engine, so turbo charging an efficient four-cylinder engine makes sense.

(D) Valve Timing: Engines use valves to let air in and exhaust out. By changing the timing of when these valves open and close and how high they open new cars can get better gas mileage without sacrificing their impressive performance.

Now for the second part of this article why fuel economy is so important because it saves you money. You can reduce fuel cost each year by choosing the most efficient vehicles that meet your needs.

It is important because it reduces greenhouse gas emissions carbon dioxide (CO2) from burning gasoline and diesel contributes to global climate change. You can do your part to reduce climate change by reducing carbon foot print.

Therefore improves energy security and reduce oil dependence costs. Our dependence on oil makes us vulnerable to oil market manipulation and price shocks. In additional to these points it increases energy sustainability. Oil is a non-renewable resource and we cannot sustain our current rate of use indefinitely. Using if wisely now allows is time to find alternative technologies and fuels that will be more sustainable.

Nice article, I didn’t know all of these methods could use less gas. I will surely use it but will it cost a lot to upgrade my engines into those?

    Thanks!

Interesting and agree and less gas we use the better for everyone except the big oil companies and countries.
