How to Live Environmentally Aware

Seven great ways to save money, energy and take care of environment at home.

If you don’t use something, turn it off. Some tricks like this you could hear in the kindergarten and in schools. I wont skip neither these steps, you could forget them… I want to write about some more unknown and less-used ways too.

1. Use energy saving light bulbs in every rooms; they are expensive, but on a long distance you save a lot of money. These serve less light than regular ones, but you can save up to 90% money with energy-savers. There is less chance to an energy-saving bulb extinguishes than a non-environment-friend one.

2. Take showers instead of having long baths. If Anna has bath every day she uses 350% more water than Peter who takes a short shower daily. This does not mean that you have to be dirty if you want to save money obviously… With this $40-50 can be saved per household per each month.

3. Use cold water! There is no temperature needed to wash dishes. If you don’t heat with wood, you could lower the temperature few minutes after you turned the water-boiler on.

4. Solar energy. Solar water-heating systems cost about $2000. They serve only a minimal energy, but it is a great way to take care of your environment. By draining energy of Sun, received temperature could be used to heat water with. Picture of using power of Sun as battery below…

5. Collect your garbage selectively! With this you are able to save a part of your garbage-transferring costs and the content of your bin wont be spread in the forest maybe… People can request bags in some cities free of charge.

6. Write to one paper twice. Some people forget the paper is two sided. You can save forests and a minimal money too. This is strange but buying less book and gathering info via Internet is more economical.

7. Lastly a small trick in kitchen: don’t cool down the stew if you want to eat from it 20 minutes later again.

By following these steps you certificate, if mankind can’t think globally maybe, you can. Save energy, save money, take care of forests, etc. Share and tell your friends and neighbourship these easy-to-do tips…
