In chemistry, it is taught that bond breakage release energy while bond formation needs energy. It is because every molecule in this universe try to attain minimum energy and maximum entropy (I hope u must be knowing this concept as from ur talks u appear to be quite learned.&lt;br /&gt;

Now, a molecule in crystal structure is more rigid and hence lower entropy and high energy since it is not a stable configuration. You have to provide energy to keep it in that state. In my case the energy is provided by the radiations released by our body. So, in a way u are increasing the overall energy of water.&lt;br /&gt;

I think you are confused a bit. Body at rest may have potential energy (Depending on its position) but it can&#039;t have kinetic energy.&lt;br /&gt;

Agreed! with what you say, but You again just didn&#039;t went for correct interpretation.&lt;br /&gt;
Again lets take the help of thermodynamics, to cool down a stuff you need to invest energy, in this case it is the refrigerator which uses the electrical energy to cool down stuff. So, if you look the scenario as a whole you giving more amount of energy to compensate for the energy lost during cooling of molecule.&lt;br /&gt;
