How Youth Can Save The Ecosystem
Saving the ecosystem.
One cannot be truly human and civilized unless one looks upon not only his fellowmen but all creation with the eyes of a friend. Through India,we have edicts carved on rocks and iron pillars. They remind us Emperor Asoka’s rule dating back to twenty two centuries. He defined that Kings duty was not merely to protect citizens and punish wrong doers but also to preserve animal life and forest trees. He was the first monarch to forbid the killing of a large number of species of animals for spot on food.
We in India have been guilty of wanton disregard for the sources of our livelihood Flora and Fauna has deteriorated. Trees are being destroyed for Man’s own benefit. Water, air and earth are three ingredients of atmosphere which ought to be pure. But they are all alarmingly polluted today
Wild animals are a part of wealth of a nation. We should protect the forest to preserve ecological balance. Since forest are destroyed for the habitation of human beings, for fuels and for setting up factories. wild animals are denied of home.Poaching and smuggling of wild animals, has became a threat for the wild life is our wealth and we should not destroy. If we were to protect mother earth we have got to first protect wild life.
The government has set up many wild life sanctuaries, in many parts of the country. These should be maintained well to ensure the protection of the endangered species.
Youth of today are the citizens of tomorrow. It becomes their prime duty to safeguard the ecological balance. They can set up organisations and create awareness among people about the need for the protection of wild life. They can organize the planting trees and highlighting the hazards cause by pollution.Awareness can be created by displaying write ups, posters, banners, conducting peaceful processions and staging skits related to it
