Ignoring the Problem
There is a problem brewing in America that many seem to overlook and sweep under the rug. Are you one of those people or will you take a stand?
If we could all reach out, even with the economy with what it is today, we can make a huge difference in the way the justice system handles these cases. Think about it this way; if you were the victim, would you want your attacker to walk away free after 2-5 years, or would you want the ultimate punishment for the lifetime of suffering you would have to endure? That’s what these victims face everyday. Their attackers get it easy while they spend the rest of their lives remembering the attack every waking moment of their lives for the rest of their lives. Not to mention the fact they could either have to face their attacker again, should one decide to take revenge; it has happened and continues to.
But that’s not the worst part, it happens to women and men adults and children of both sexes! If we pushed for harsher punishment and fight against the “Reforming” of sexual assault attackers, we can make the world a better place to those who have suffered and their lived ones.
Many people don’t realize that a victim may go to counseling/ therapy for the rest of their lives. Who pays for their medical bills? Surely not the attacker, who was the reason for victim to have to go to the therapy to begin with! Should one really have to endure such pain? Isn’t there anything we can do to help? Do we even want to help? Sadly many don’t.
Rainn is the one of the most popular non profit organizations for victims of sexual assault. By going to their web-site one can find local chapters, hotlines, resources and more. But, there are still a few other’s out there who specialize in certain areas of sexual assault. By typing sexual assault resources into a search engine, one will find Rainn.com and a few others to suit their needs. But we can all help do more, these organizations rely on volunteers and donations to help lend a hand to the victims. Take a STAND!!!! Do something fulfilling. Sure save the planet and go green, but don’t stop there, go farther and become an advocate for sexual assault. Don’t walk away and continue to sweep it under the rug, do something more!

It is dreadful. Where I live if the attackers identity is known he will be in the mountains and dead before morning.
