Nature’s Worst Enemy: It’s Us
It is us, the human race, who has destroyed most of the beautiful nature that surrounds us at times.

This topic came to my mind after I was on a a drive to work this morning. I had seen several deer along the side of the freeway feeding on the little bit of dried grass that was left there.
It made me remember a terrible experience I had seen a couple of months back. I was driving to work in the early morning, and it was kinda cold, and a little foggy. I seen all these big trucks working on the hillside and digging up trees, and basically destroying the nature that had grown there, it looked like they were planning on building more housing in the future.
I t made me feel a bit sad and start thinking of how I usually see deer wondering these hills and eating. I was even more upset as all of a sudden, I seen it, a baby deer laying on the side of the freeway, dead. All of a sudden I began to cry. It made me really think, that mankind has gone onto the hillside, where this deer one day lived and began to tear it apart. Destroy the nature it had grown up with, and where it could find food, and so it wondered lower, looking to find something to eat. The poor thing must of wondered onto the freeway, and within an instant, it’s life was taken away.
I mean, what harm did it do to anyone, did it go and destroy the nature God gave us, and steal our food from our mouths to eat, NO, it was simply trying to make ends meet. And us, well, here mankind went in an destroyed the only home it had, and took the nature that it learned to live and feed in away, and forced it to go down alone, to the busy freeway, in search of food. And instead of it finding even just a simple little bite to eat, it lost it’s life.
So, who really is at fault? I blame our own mankind, and it’s total ruin of nature in some areas. And for what? Just for a few $$$$$. A life, any life, is not worth it. It’s sad, but true.

We have the same type of issues of cutting down all of the redwood trees, the oil spills we find all over that our killing our ocean life, and ruining our beaches where children once played.

What will it take, for someone to slow down, and sit for a moment and enjoy our nature. As for me, I love a drive through the country side, to sit and listen to the waves upon the ocean, to walk along a beach and let my toes get tickled in the water. To sit upon a hill and to see and smell the fresh air from all the grass and flowers that are around.
How much of us see that anymore.. Now days, its Oil Tankers, Construction, and so many other things that is taking our beauty away. Like, clearing out a nice area, grass, tree and want to build a mini shopping center, and then within just a few years, half of the businesses have faded out or moved, and it is now a lot of empty, dirty buildings sitting there now. So we look at that each day, instead of the wonders of nature that was given us, and we take it for granted and seem to throw most of it away…

I think that is an excellent picture of how Man is turning this World into a waste-pit, and if he is not careful, he will selt-destruct in a very short space of time. Very well done indeed!! hicky.

For the love of money has truly brought about the evil of men. We destroy this beautiful earth by way of wars, and waste. We build houses to gain profit, and then take them away by schemes that are plotted by predatory loan companies. We let things deteriorate and sit there instead of fixing up these areas. We have fulfilled our wants and forgotten the value of nature. Everyone thinks they need a car or two. Buying new things is cheaper than repairing them. Our world is becoming a big garbage dump and we keep on going like there is no tomorrow. We have no concern for the children of the future. We have become self serving and selfish. No one wants to sacrifice anymore. We spend billions to search outer space so we can leave this mess and go to another planet to destroy instead of appreciating what we have, and taking care of it. Doom and gloom. We are bringing it onto ourselves.

This article is well written. You focus is continuous throughout. Your subject has become controversal (very). Opinions fly high. I oppose the destruction of nature. We do need a balance. There are efforts made to save and preserve nature. Man has enabled the destruction of nature. Now man attempts to repair the damage. I will not see the reform of the natural world. The question I ask is who will?

Getting back to nature is so essential for all of us. It’s just that too many don’t know that.

Very true. I still live in the area where I was born, and it breaks my heart to see the countryside that I grew up in destroyed.
