No Prison For Pot! Criminals We Are Not!

As the season drifts into a strangely dry December in the Seattle area, many are stopping to think about those who are wrongly imprisoned through our justice system for things such as marijuana possession.

Things in this world have gotten so crazy that it is even possible to arrest someone outside of our government and landscape for something as silly as selling cannabis seeds. There are those are needlessly being prosecuted all over the world, thousands of them everyday who get less time with their families, high fines to pay and many of them are going to be spending time in jail this holiday season.

That doesn’t mean it’s all bad though, as there needless imprisonment is not in vain. For the rising number of US citizens who feel that the Drug War is pointless, for the millions of American’s who don’t want their money wasted on eradicating plants, and for the 10’s of millions of American’s who now oppose the jailing of non violent drug offenders.

These people have not stolen. They have not neglected their duties. Most of them have done nothing worse then trying to choose a healthier option to alcohol or a safer option then dangerous pharmaceuticals. Most of them are mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, kids, adults, teachers, laborers, college students, entrepreneurs and freedom fighters. Most of them have done nothing wrong and are still in jail! The numbers go up everyday, more and more money is wasted and more harmless and contributing citizens are locked up unjustly.

The American people are speaking up for Cannabis in all it’s forms, for all it’s powers and uses and there is little the government is going to be able to do to stop the cannabis movements from succeeding. Thanks to countless individuals and groups all over the nation, even though they don’t all agree, who have stood up for Cannabis and spoken up for a life form that can’t speak for itself.

There are still some bumps in the road that we have to over come however, and until then, we need to show our support to those who are currently incarcerated for non-violent crimes!

If you live in or are going to be in Seattle for the Christmas holiday, there will be a huge gathering on 5th avenue and James Street in downtown Seattle Washington from 12 pm to 2pm Christmas Day.
