Planned Parenthood: Tax Dollars and Scandals

Do you know how your tax dollars are being spent? First thing you may think of is on roads, the war in Iraq, education, etc… Did you know that your tax dollars also fund abortions? If you didn’t now you do.

Do you know how your tax dollars are being spent? First thing you may think of is on roads, the war in Iraq, education, etc… Did you know that your tax dollars also fund abortions? If you didn’t now you do.

Planned Parenthood’s name is a contradiction. Why an organization that aborts babies would call themselves that is beyond me. Nonetheless, this supposed non-profit organization rakes in our tax dollars by the billions. That’s right, BILLIONS!

According to Joseph Farah of World Net Daily, Planned Parenthood brings in over $250 million dollars per year in profit. Not bad for an organization that claims to be non-profit. On top of that Planned Parenthood received government grants of almost $1.5 Billion dollars between 2003 and 2004.

$1.5 Billion dollars is a lot of money to go to an organization that is clearly building itself an empire. Now I’m not saying that everything they do at “PP” is all bad, however I do have a problem with knowing my tax dollars are being spent in support of abortion.

Now just to give you an idea of how much money Planned Parenthood is given, let’s see how their funding compares to other funding by the government. The money given to Planned Parenthood last year is more than: the money allocated to Homeland Security for inspecting the cargo of foreign ships coming to America, the money allocated for protecting Americans from computer hackers and cyber-terrorists, and the amount allocated for planning exercises for medical-emergency surge capabilities. Even more interesting is that the funding given to Planned Parenthood last year is more than all of these combined!

I urge everyone to write your congressman. Seriously, flood his office. This is a real problem that could have a real solution. Forget about funding an organization that boasts to be number 1 in abortions. If someone wants an abortion they should pay for it themselves.

Above all of this, there is a current scandal brewing about regarding Planned Parenthood in which a 20 year old girl went into a Planned Parenthood branch in Indiana pretending to be 13 years old. A nurse encouraged her to not report the “31 year old father to be” which in the state is statutory rape and must be reported at that age. To watch the video go to the following link.

Given the current economical struggles here in the US, why do we continue to allow our government to give so much money to Planned Parenthood? Please take a stand and write your congressman, otherwise you are just pitching in and standing by as this idiocy continues.

Wasn’t the founder of Planned Parenthood, Margaret Sanger, a believer in eugenics. She also gave speeches at KKK rallies.

Would this be the time to point out that Klaned Parenthood has over 85% of their clinics in minority neighborhoods?

Or that black women abortions account for 35% of all abortions, despite that blacks make up 13% of the general population.

I don’t know whether to be disgusted, disturbed or all of the above. Considering all the things that are wrong with our nation, why in the heck are we paying for abortions? Let’s see, how about allocating money to fix the economy, paying for our education systems to be better, or feeding those children out there who go home hungry and go school hungry? But no, abortion? Why does PLanned Parenthood need more than a billion dollars, and just how many abortions are being “planned?”

Yes, Planned Parenthood (originally named American Birth Control League) was indeed founded by Margaret Sanger who was a strong advocate of “negative eugenics” (ie selection of the so-called dysgenic or “unfit”) of which abortion by minority and low income women would certainly qualify as in her atheistic world view.

Dr. Benjamin Wiker, a theology professor at Vanderbilt University, justifiably included Margaret Sanger’s eugenic classic “The Pivot of Civilization” as one of the 10 books that screwed up the world along with such malevolent classics as Hitler’s Mein Kampf and Lenin’s Communist Manifesto. Now that is some very bad company Sanger finds herself. Of course eugenics got a very bad name after the Nazis.

Who would have known the enormous amount of money that funds this!
Thanks for bringing it to our attention.

    Welcome back,

What is so atrocious about an organization that largely provides birth control, sex education, information about hygiene and reproductive rights, and other health information to the public for free or close to cheap? There are many states in which Planned Parenthood is not an abortion provider.

The US government is pouring morning into an organization which promotes the health of our nation. Without the information and contraceptives that PP provides there would be many more people with serious STD/STIs in the public and everyone would have an increased risk of getting something bad.

Based on your negative views on abortion, I’m going to assume you’re Republican, Conservative, or both.

Did you know that billions are spent to stop gays from being married? Just look at California and Prop 8. Huge waste of money; we should be MAKING money off gay marriages.

Did you know that millions have been spent on Silver Ring groups in high schools? These programs encouraged teenagers to not have premarital sex. A wasted effort, since the program was a catastrophic failure anyway.

There is a lot of foolish spending in this country, I agree with you there. But abortion is not the only thing. I find it so odd that Conservatives and Republicans are against spending, yet they’ve thrown billions away on such foolish things.

Great article about a sad American tragedy. Abortion is not a low income problem, it is an American problem. That is why they make birth control pills that any women can have access to. Abortion is nothing but murder.
