Planting trees in our garden not only adds beauty to our home, but also protects the environment. Due to heavy industrialization, the emission of gases and pollution is causing a great damage to the environment by increasing CO2 levels in the air. This leads to lot of health problems to public which includes school going children. In fact children and youth are more affected with health problems due to increase in pollution levels.
Another fact is that in the recent years, there is also deforestation by chopping down trees for the requirement of wood. It takes many years for the forests to grow and green environment is very essential to keep high levels of oxygen in the air.
We all have to make a collective effort to plant trees wherever we are and it will be remembered as a good deed. Planting a eucalyptus tree or a neem tree today, helps future generations, as strong rooted trees take many years to grow.
Small indoor plants like Christmas tree, jasmine, rose and cactus can also be grown in our garden which helps in maintaining green environment. Plants carry a special identity in nature and if we can protect environment by planting trees, we are not only helping ourselves but we are also helping our children.
We will also be reducing health hazards by developing green environment. We can provide good health to our children by reducing pollution levels in environment. Therefore encourage one another from today to plant trees in our homes as well in nearby open areas
