Problem with Climate Change
A closer look at global warming.

The Problems with Global Warming:
Climate change (Global warming) is a long-term change in the weather patterns
- Crop failure and livestock deaths caused economic losses
- The ice caps are rapidly melting and therefore causing the sea level to rise (see link below)
- The sea level is rising and poses a threat of flooding to civilizations on the coast
- In contrast to the flooding, extreme drought is rising and there is a higher rate of evaporation
- Ecosystems are changing and the animals are forced to move to cooler areas or they die
- Hurricanes have become much stronger and are now more destructive (Hurricane Katrina)
- Human health is affected because many have died from heat waves and more allergy attacks are present as the pollen season grows longer
http://topics.nytimes.com/top/news/science/topics/globalwarming/index.html?scp=1-spot&sq=climate%20change&st=cse “Climate change is altering the face of disaster risk, not only through increased weather related risks and sea-level and temperature rise, but also through increases in societal vulnerabilities from stresses on water availability, agriculture and ecosystems. Coupled with sea level rise, this will lead to more disasters in future – unless prompt action is taken” (International Strategy for Disaster Reduction). – A good quote about climate change.
