I hope more people will shop at places like this, rather than just throw away their old stuff and buy new all the time. We love to shop at places like this, but also there’s GoodWIll and the Salvation Army. Some great old stuff can be bought there – often much better quality then new furniture. A little sanding, a touch of paint, and it looks new anyway, for those who don’t want the antique look.

I am a furniture recycler extraordinaire! Habitat for Humanity stores and Goodwill love me! I also love the tax write off at the end of the year and knowing that my once loved pieces (still in good condition) can be enjoyed by someone else. I find great stuff to take home too, sometime needing a bit of refurbishing but the savings are great. Great green recycling idea!
