Six Ways to Combat World Food Crisis
World food crisis is fast ravaging most parts of the world and needed to be remedied using scientific and natural approaches.
World food crisis is directly affected by the global economic recession felt by developed, developing and under developed nations of the world. From statistics so far, developed nations are about recovering from the economic meltdown and food crisis but in the general context, food crisis is still ravaging many developing and underdeveloped nations of Africa and Asia. Six facts are outlined here to help resolve the problem of food crisis in the world.
- General national and international sensitization programme campaign should be put in place to create awareness of the situations so far stating clearly the statistical data report of food scarcity in various states and nations. The media should go a long way to flag off the campaign putting certain measures as options to be done against food shortage based on locality.
- Nations of the world should check their domestic gross earnings and reduce excessive expenses made in some other sectors not relating to nation’s food production. With this, more attention is paid to eliminate scarcity of food to the bareness minimum.
- Nations should embark on serious agricultural projects focusing on providing for the citizens. Extensive farming and rearing of animals should be appropriately supervised by the government to ensure large turn out in food production.
- Modern scientific and technological approaches on agriculture must be imbibed to enhance the initial standard of nation’s farm productions. Recycling of farm products is one good scientific approach which eliminates waste of food products. Modern food preservation techniques are another technological approach to store food products to last for a long period of time without loosing its original quality and quantity. Nations like China, Singapore, United States of America, Brazil, France and Malaysia are already setting the pace in the world today.
- Excess importation of food materials from other nations should be checked. This will at least help nations to work harder to focus on what they are able to produce on their own without any foreign influence and thus make use of the available food resources that comes from their own land.
- Apart from the sensitization programme campaigned stated earlier, agriculture should be taken as a general event by all; old and young alike. It should be incorporated into the various institution curriculum such that each person is entitled to a farming land or agricultural businesses on daily basis just like any other career.
Upon all these major facts which must not be taking for granted, lays the rest other minor approaches and thus should be encouraged by all government bodies locally and internationally.
