Stimulus Checks
Have you gotten your check yet?
I have not seen any stimulus check or deposit yet from the IRS. I have asked several people and they have not received one either and since the IRS started depositing the money on the 28th of April, why is it that hardly anyone has seen the money?
I ask myself if I ever see the money what am I going to do with it and it is real easy…I need to buy food for my children, food is no longer cheap and being a single mother it is not easy doing it all alone, yes I have a job and No I am not on State Aid, funny how people see the words single mom and automatically think she is on welfare.
I know they are hoping everyone goes to the stores and spends all of the money however that would not be to smart of a thing to do, since we do not have money to burn. I could see where they might need to send out another one in October to make sure everyone gets through the year, however the next year will be coming and what really is this money doing to help us?
We need to work within our communities and see where we can help each other and try to connect, this can help in the long run on spending money, purchase food in BULK and then portion it out in containers and if you have a neighbor who cant get out to buy something give them some of your bulk food, or make a big pot of stew or soup and can it up and give it to your neighbors, your rewards will come in tenfold.
What it really boils down to is who has the money and who does not, there is no more middle class America it is poor and high class and I do not see many arguing this point with me.
I help my neighbors as much as I can, my children will always come first though and that is the way it should be. I will never turn away a hungry child or adult and everyone one knows this.
So think about it? What are you going to do with your money if you get it?

Well now if you are a person in the MILItary and you marry a person that does not have a valid SSN then you do not get a check..??? Please give me a break, if you pay taxes then you should get a check regardless of who you are married too… same as immigrants if they paying taxes they have a right to a check also…
seems like more rules are coming out with each week…
I now know 3 people that have gotten a check… since 04/28/08

I haven’t gotten mine yet; it was supposed to be directly deposited into my checking on the ninth. If I’m still gettin one at all, I would appreciate it if the IRS wouldn’t tell everybody specific dates unless they execute accordingly.

i mad eover the reqired 3000 and have 3 qualifying children but yet i didnt recieve a letter saying i was getting the stimulus check like other sthat i know should i be concerened or am i still going to get a check

I got mine on the exact date they said I would but it was WRONG! They sent a letter explaining and said I had no qualifying child, when I do.. silly IRS

Everyone I know has received a check except my brother and I. We both received the letter from the IRS over a month ago…and we should have received our money no later than a week ago. I am not sure what the hold up is but its ridiculous. A friend of mine who filed on April 15 and didn’t have direct deposit, received hers last week. How is that possible??

you get a check or DD if you have filed the taxes and do not owe any unsuspected taxes.
you have a qualifying child as long as they are under 17.. itclearly states 17 and above do not qualify for the 300.00
of you did rapid refund or had the fees take nout of your refund for filing then you will get a check sometime in july2008

my sister in law has a child seventeen and did not get it for that child either i have three children and me and my husband and are only getting 900 for kids and 600 for husband nothing for me it should have been 2100 but will not get that much it is supposed to be here tomorrow hope so could really use it we fill the tank once a week and it costs us 104 it is crazy what is bush doing to us and milk is 4 a gallon

I hope your check came, sometimes it will be less if there are any outstanding taxes taht are due, also you should have gotten a letter stating on the estimated amount you would be getting fro mthe IRS.
I walk more now and I have 3 sons and they walk more now, also ride bikes(the boys do)
every penny counts and you have to do what you have to do to get by right now.

your money will come the same way that you had your tax refund done..
just remember if you did rapid refund or anything like that, that does not qualify for Direct deposit, it can only come in a form of a check… Rapid refund is classified a loan.

I received a letter about a week ago… and I have yet not received the check. My friend has almost the same two last digits and he got his check a week ago almost with no letter of receiving a check. i dont know if the IRS is just raffling names, but this is ridiculous. i just think it was a dumb idea all together to even create the stimulus check. we are in a recession…. and they are raising prices and still not giving us what we deserve.. and then they wonder why the individuals are all so messed up.

I was supposed to have my stimulus check direct deposited into my checking account sometime late may, based upon the last two digits of my social. I still have not seen, or even heard from the IRS whether or not I’m going to receive the stimulus check anytime soon. Anyone have any ideas???

My digits are 81….but i havent recieved a paper stating i will recieve it. Does that mean im not gettin one?

i told people not to vote for bush but they said the other guy wants to stop hunting you cant do that i said but look what happened a big bush mess cant go hunting drivr or even enjoy tv anymore the price for having a bush in office is a great reminder to not vote that way again

Well there are a lot of people wit hthe same last digits as yopu and it does take time, they said it would take almost until late august to get all of the checks out.
you can go to the IRS.gov website and type the info they ask you and they will let you know ifit is within 14 days of the check being mailed out…
