Support MDA They Really Do Help

Support of Muscular Distrophy Association.

Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) has been around since 1945 doing what they do best, helping try to find a cure for all the forms of MD such as Lou Gehrig’s Disease.  They have done everything from giving people vehicles that they can drive with just their hands, due to the people who get them not being able to use the foot pedals or sending a child to a special camp with children who have similar disorders.

Jerry Lewis has been supporting this program since its initial telethon which was radio based. Many groups like the Shriners have been with him ever since.  One of my father’s cousins  was actually one of Jerry’s kids. They would send him to summer camp, pay for his doctors, hospital stays, wheelchairs, and also vehicles that would be wheelchair accessible and would be hand pedals instead of foot pedals.

The 24 hour telethon that plays every labor day. The only goal that they set is to get one dollar more than the year before. This year hopefully they will continue to meet that goal for years to come.
