Path cyclists passed through one of the most dangerous regions of Africa – northern Kenya, are often exposed to attacks by Somali bandits. Ten-cycling marathon from Cape Town to Istanbul was attended by about 20 thousand dollars towards a fund Samantha Dickson, sponsoring studies of brain tumors.
In an interview from the capital of Ethiopia’s 24-year-old Rob Martin said that the most dangerous part of the arrival was a trip to northern Kenya, where ever recorded attacks on humans.
- The police even asked if I had a gun to defend themselves, because only that there were two attacks on tourists – said the brave cyclist – I was in 100 kilometers from the nearest settlement, so I decided to invite himself a fellow traveler in passing truck. This was the only site that I rode in a car.
Rob Martin, a student at Oxford lost his father at age 4 because of an incurable disease. Since then, the purpose of his life was the fight against cancer.
Passing is 10 thousand kilometers, he plans to get to Turkey for Christmas.
