The Dirt in Politics and Politicking

The exact dirt in politics and politicking.

Politics in its own sense is a means whereby a group of people makes decisions towards governing a sect of people of which the decision makers themselves are part. This involves the various methods and tactics involve in making such decisions. Apparently, the ways things are handled are usually beyond our imaginations, they let us have a taste of what they want us to and the rest, its not for your eyes or ears. Just remember its politics and its diplomacies. Whatever, its just opaque.

The dirt in politics starts at the instance one start aspiring to become a politician. You have to get linked, make friends and get involve in “forums” (top shots); the company you keep will have to change. Sometimes you have to kick Asses (whatever that means). You have to spend so much money (more than you can earn in a lifetime) that will mean people will have to donate and that will mean becoming a member in their good records. That implies that you will have to mix up, shape up and lie a lot (without that you can not please everyone). Funny still, you might have to promise some folks that you will “turn their house into Las Vegas” (so lies and more lies become the other of the day).

When you do get there, remember you had to lie your way in and as such you might have to lie you way through. (The old saying of “a sin begets more sin” is true after all). Making policies, having your way are topmost in your agenda and that might involve kicking some assess, paying some assess out and “meandering through to have your way which will give you pleasure.

Correct me if I am wrong but if you must be successful in politics, then you will have to serve at least two gods and at least two masters. Politicians do the world a favour and be true to yourselves.
