The Earth I Want for My Grandchildren

These days all Australian families own a car. And guess what? They all use expensive petrol, except for the hybrid cars.

These are very expensive for the average family. The cars are using all the petrol and sucking up our oil rigs, there’s no more after it’s all used up. When we eventually run out of oil whether it is now or in 10 years time its inevitable. Also have you ever thought that when you drive it’s not only sucking up our oil supplies but damaging the environment? The generations to come will grow up into polluted environments and into a society where people have to have petrol to live, work and eat. They will grow up thinking petrol is the only way. So why not catch the train or bus to work or school instead of taking all of the oil and not saving it for our future generations to share.

On another topic what about other resources like water and food? With the growing population rate and less people dying due to better medical knowledge, generations to come the population could have doubled or tripled since now and our resources that we need to live are scarce. With the rates that it is going up at we will have very scarce resources to share between everyone. So in another ten years Australia’s if you think about the current growth, that’s a lot of people in Australia. This will impact on your family down the line as the more people there are the more resources the quicker they go. The demand for them will increase and it will get out of control.

So remember we all need cut down on all sorts of resources for the future generations.
