The Great Hot-Air Debate
The more probable inconvenient truth about climate change.
Climate Change is happening. This much is true, beyond doubt.
But what is also beyond doubt is that Climate Change has been happening throughout history, and throughout pre-history – ever since the planet emerged from the primal gloop of the universe. What’s more, whatever we do, Climate Change will keep happening into infinity – or at least until the Sun grows tired of life and explodes in a super-nova.
Then again, this isn’t the issue.
The issue is Global Warming. Or, more precisely, Anthropogenic Global Warming™.
Obviously, anyone who goes against the orthodoxy in anything is probably not going to be universally popular – but then a hundred million (or whatever the number is) Elvis fans can be wrong. And if the emperor is intent on streaking, then someone should stand up and point to his vernaculars – especially when, as in this case, he is using his nakedness to extract funds for his voracious and bloated government.
And really, this is at the centre of AGW™ fraud. The Inter-governmental Panel for Climate Change, remember, is made up of member governments of the United Nations, and what better way to siphon money from the people the various governments “serve” than by saying “hey, kids, if you don’t give us all your money, you’re going to boil into space. Look at all those fluffy-wuffy ikkle polar bears, whose habitat is shrinking at a rate of an area the size of Betelgeuse every day.” So we have the fuel duty escalator, the surcharge on vehicle tax based on carbon emissions, the extra we will have to pay to fit the coast of Kent with a million triffid-like wind turbines – and many other “green” taxes which haven’t even been conceived yet.
Don’t get me wrong – the need to look after our planet is paramount. This is, after all, our home; our mother, no less, who clothes and feeds us. But we should look to more honest ways of looking after her. Let’s plant some trees – let’s replenish the rain-forests and support the diverse eco-systems and food-chains vital for all life. Let’s do our bit to reduce waste, not for the sake of a spurious claim of scientific lackeys in the pay of the IPCC and other government agencies with an agenda to push, but for the sake of wholesomeness and responsibility. Let’s reduce pollution – light pollution, pollution from smoke and noxious chemicals.
In short, let’s look after our environment, without being green and naive.

I must say I’m naive in many respects. I agree climate change happens and will happen as long as Earth exist. Climate change is a cycle and that cycle has been disrupted, most probably by us. Temperatures are suppose to be declining ,not rising.

Agreed, climate change has been occurring since the beginning of time and will continue until we’ve destroyed the planet. But climate change has increased at an alarming rate over the last 150 years as a direct result of human activity. But you do have the overall message correct. We need to take care of the planet that takes care of us.
