The Marijuana Boom: One Step Closer to Freedom in 2009
Have you heard about Marijuana Inc and California’s fight to free the use and production of marijuana all over the US? They are breaking through the barriers for everyone.
It was not until the 70’s, when laws were being created against cocaine and heroin that the Marijuana laws started coming into exsistance.
It was not really in effort to stop anyone from using ‘drugs’, but more in an effort to control the importing and exporting of substances that was going on between US citizens and foreign sources.
Because of colorful propaganda from the government in an attempt to control and subdue a free society into joining their crusade against drugs and illegal activities, it is widely thought that any and all drugs are harmful to the human state and are the cause for many of the crimes, gangs and illegal happenings that go on in US culture.
Throughout the years, researchers have studied and re-studied marijuana and its effects on people, the economy and society. Not one shred of evidence has been found to condemn the plant as a dangerous or hazardous substance. If any, the only proof that scientist and researchers have found is that a small amount of brain cells are depleted when enjoying the recreational habit, but nothing harmful.
Not only that, but in cities and other countries that have thrown out the laws against ‘mary jane’, the economy has stabalized, and sometimes flurished. The rate of crime in the area’s has lowered, the amount of vehicular accidents has decreased, and the food industry is booming.
Marijuana has been found to be 10 times less harmful than consuming alcohol and only slightly as bad as cigarette smoking, and the least additive substance available today. The most harmful part of a 420 habit: Smoke.
Think about it, even the perscription medications that doctors hand out are more physically harmful and addivtive than a little THC.
Since all these studies have taken place, even with the lies and propaganda from the government, many citizens have taken a sharp angle on their opinions of the drug and have banded together to take down the unfair laws that govern the use of marijuana and its derivatives.
Law makers every where have been finding an increase in the amount of smokers they find, or people with possession of marijuana and its paraphernalia. This has led to more arrests than couldn’t be tolerated by society. So many kind and hardworking citizens were scared that one harmless little green thing would ruin their lives, and instead of breaking spirit as the government ordered, they banded together and fought against the harshness of it all. So far, many of the laws and regulations have been lifted, and in some states you have ‘the right’ to smoke a doobie, just like you have ‘the right’ to free speech.
