The Truth About Climate Change

This very relevant issue of climate change seems to not be present at any real academic debates on climate change. It would be nice to see the topic of the unwilling to act Northern countries to come up in debates. This is a very prevalent issue because if they were debated about more than common people would see the issue more. They might then decide that they would like to see their country make a bigger impact in the climate change arena then they are presently doing.

The whole world should be interested in this question because the countries near the equator; who, to be generalized are poor countries, will hold even less resources for the country to produce resulting in even poorer countries. While the colder countries; who, to be generalized as the wealthy countries, will hold even more capital and new trade routes will open up , perhaps over the north pole allowing for close trade between Russia and Canada.

So the real question is are you apathetic to the suffering of people of other countries besides your own, more then you want the success of your own country? If you say yes to this question you do not see the big picture. All human beings share the Earth together, if we are hurting more people then are benefiting from something that we can change we should try and change that outcome.

Cold climate countries stand to gain from global warming, or can afford to not do anything about it. The people of the poor Equatorial countries stand to lose everything, in some cases even their countries. This issue should become more relevant in the global climate change debates if we are to fully be able to understand the most important issue of your day.
