UK Government’s leading green advisor, Jonathon Porritt, has come up with the most bizzare of the solutions to tackle global warming, warning that couples having more than two children are putting an ‘irresponsible’ burden on the environment.
He wants ministers to divert funds away from curing illnesses and towards contraception and abortion services to limit the country’s population and help fight global warming and wants green campaigners, as well, to canvass against growing population. WAO, genius!
‘We still have one of the highest rates of teenage pregnancies in Europe and we still have relatively high levels of pregnancies going to birth, often among women who are not convinced they want to become mothers,’ he said.
So if we were to formally adopt Mr. Porritt’s proposal, then we ought to take multi dimensional steps to yeild better and quicker results. Funds, about which Mr. Porritt is talking about, must be diverted/ allocated towards fulfillment this ‘NOBLE CAUSE’, i.e. to protect the environment the Porritt Way. Just a few suggestion listed below might help catalyze this process!
Foremost, engage all out efforts to erridicate/ minimize the current population, as elders have a bigger carbon foot print than the young ones. The next steps would be to randomly select the newly born and sterlize them (legislation can be made), a quick long term and highly effective plan to nose-dive population.
Another successful step forward in the ‘RIGHT DIRECTION’ would be to target and recruit the sexually active/ productive individuals and make them sterile, forcibly if they don’t surrender their consent.
We should make strategies, specially exploit differences of opinion, to promote conflicts and spread anarchy as this will help to regulate population more quickly than anything and also involve less funding and protect the parties from the blame game.
Britain’s population of 61 million is forecast to exceed 70 million by 2028. The birth rate is now at its highest for almost 30 years, largely because immigrant mothers have higher birth rates, and because teenage pregnancy rates are among the highest in Europe.
So is it the high yield of immigrant mothers that is worrying Mr. Porritt? And what are the factors that lead to high pregnancy rates? So if there is going to be a limit on the number of children in Britain, then there can also be an age limit set for pregnancy. And why not! If there is an age limit to marry, then why not?
