Things We Can Do for Planet Earth

- Recycle anything and everything possible
- Don’t litter anytime
- Give gifts than a person can consume, read, eat and really need
- Think about trips for errands. Combine as many as possible
- Car pool as often as you can
- Plant a tree for a gift to someone
- Donate to worthy causes that promote your hearts desires
- Reuse containers that foods came in. These can be canisters for staples such as raisins etc.
- Be aware of limits of burning leaves and brush
- Be thrifty in the use of water and electric
- Volunteer at places that hold to your wishes to conserve
- Start a compost pile to decrease throwing away wet garbage
- Use paper rather than plastic grocery bag. Better yet, buy reusable bags.
- Limit paper towel usage
- Wash out and reuse, when possible, zip lock storage bags
- Fix items rather than discard whenever possible
- Before throwing something away, consider a use or give it away for possible use by someone else
- Research to determine if the use of disposable diapers is really necessary and economically sound
- Consider buying appliances that conserve energy
- Dry clothes outside or on racks whenever possible
