Tiny Nutritional Donation Made
To feed the hungry one must do as much as he or she can. Here is a slight description of the donation I could afford to help feed others with.
Just the other day I heard that one old store in Clayton was trying to help the needy. An AM radio station said DuckWalls was taking canned food donations. It said that the store was making sure the nutrition was being given to the needy through food distribution agancy.
DuckWalls just sits on the road that goes from Springer New Mexico to Boise City Oklahoma. It is surrounded by old buildings that probably date back to them days when Clayton was established. The radio station also told me the store is ahundred years old . One has got to wonder how something this small and ancient could try to be helpful.
Since Christmas is a holiday renowned for large family meals I couldn’t help feeling a lot of sympathy. All the unemployed parents in Clayton are going to have a hard time just taking care of their children on Christmas. It sounded like a good idea to help them get through this holiday as best we could no matter what it might take. That means it didn’t matter to me how broke my wife and I really are. I just couldn’t help feeling the needs of others.
Here is the store where the food donations are made. The picture just shows that it really isn’t some major department store like Wall Mart. DuckWalls tends to carry high quality merchandise. The products aren’t cheaply made pieces of trash. Customers don’t have to worry about something not working or falling apart. The can easily relax after any purchase is made.
This little store is matching whatever is donated. One kind of wonders how some small old store like this could afford to give any thing away. With so much local unemployment in Clayton this small store probably isn’t producing a high amount of profit. The owner is going ahead and sacrificing some of it to help the needy.
Since my wife and I are struggling financially much it was real easy ti understand how the unemployed families were really struggling. I didn’t have to rely on some reporter in New York to report on this problem. It was easily felt on my own. My mind easily thought about donating some of the nutrition I have been relying on to get along.
Kidney beans have a lot of protein in them. That way one doesn’t have to pay an arm and a leg to buy some ground beef that has a lot of fat in it. This particular brand only costs 79 cents a can and it tends to have a good flavor. I was able to purchase ten cans of this and donate five of them. I know that doesn’t sound like a grand donation but it was all I could afford. I’m just making this public to show how any disabled ex-jar head could still want to be helpful. At least my PC can’t pick up any laughter.
