Top five ways to jam up that useless glass bottle into a fancy deco item.

Glass bottles:

Glass bottles of different shapes and sizes are part of our daily bought items in regular household why not transform these into wonderful decoration pieces to lighten up a room? How? It’s simple:

   Painted:

  • Take an empty glass bottle/jar, and squeaky clean it.
  • Get some glass paints and lead tubes
  • Take your favorite motif/design or anything that inspires you
  • Start painting!

 Sand layered:

  • Take an empty glass bottle/jar, and squeaky clean it.
  • Get some colored sand or mix regular sand with paint( though colored sand works best).
  • Carefully pour sand of one color than another layer after layer in the bottle
  • And you have a vibrant deco piece!

Embellishment:

  • Take an empty glass bottle/jar, and squeaky clean it.
  • Get some confetti, ribbons, jewels, glitter and super glue.
  • Start sticking stuff everywhere or better still make borders around it.
  • Get a picture of your mommy, daddy, sibling, kids, friends or even pets, stick it inside the border.
  • You have a personalized jar! Can be used to store personal tidbits.

    Scented and stuffed:

  • Take an empty glass bottle/jar, and squeaky clean it.
  • Get some potpourri or dried leaves and flowers
  • Get you favorite scented cologne or perfume.
  • Spritz the scent on the dried leaves/flowers/potpourri.
  • Stuff it in the jar/bottle.
  • Leave it without a lid if you want a slight scent around the room.
  • Best for coffee tables/side tables.

Candle holders:

  • Take an empty glass bottle/jar, and squeaky clean it.
  • Take some acrylic paints.
  • Cut out a stencil from cardboard of any shape.
  • Place the stencil on the jar and paint around it with you favorite color.
  • Let it dry.
  • Once dried, give it finishing touches with glitter or another coat of paint.
  • Place a small sized candle inside it and light it up
  • DO NOT close the lid.
