There’s a lot going on in the world that people are unaware of. I do not wish the world to wallow in ignorance anymore. I set out in this article to expose issues that most people of mainstream media will not touch on. An example is pathogens in the water of Iraq, haliberton which came media focus due to scandal quite a while back was being paid to run water purification plants, but they were not following basic safety guidelines, as seen in this video.

Why are these stories being avoided by mainstream media? Do they fear a backlash? I say speak out or shut up completely. What is the point of journalism if the important issues have no voice?

I call upon my fellow journalists to not be intimidated, speak out. No matter which part of the world you are in you have a voice for a reason. Let your voice ring loud and clear, as long as what you speak is truth, then no one can silence you.    

Mainstream media all too often focuses on what’s popular rather than what’s important. That mindset needs to cease, if you are going to be part of a news outlet, you cannot sugarcoat truth because of fear.  Sometimes keeping people informed falls to those courageous people who will go to any length to make the truth known. As the marines often say “Are You One of the Few?”
