10 Ways to Reduce Your Jealous Feeling
We have to get rid of our jealous feelings as much as possible because jealousy is a poison for our minds, and will affect our heart and health.
Don’t let yourself being slaved by this feeling. Don’t drink the poison. Here are ten ways that you can do to reduce your jealousy:
- Stop comparing your condition, your achievement or your belonging with others. Because above sky there is still another sky. If we must compare our success with other it will never end. Finally we can only get sadness.
- Make yourself happy. Happiness doesn’t depend on condition but it connects with feeling. The guy with jealous feeling won’t be happy and he doesn’t like if other people feel happy. So put down your jealousy and be happy.
- Improve your capability, don’t obsess with other people’s success
- Don’t let other’s people words about you affect your mood. Your life doesn’t depend on other’s people’s opinions. Just follow your heart.
- Think that God is fair. May be it is a difficult think, but life is like a wheel, sometimes you are on the below part, some other time you will be on the top position. Just wait for God’s time; He will make everything beautiful in it’s time.
- Enjoy your job and belonging, which are already in your hand.
- Do your job as good as possible, do your best; you will receive many good things as the result.
- Forget everything about people who make you jealous. If they did a bad thing but get good reward and thus make us envy, just forget it. They will get their own punishment later and it is not our right to judge them.
- Forgive others’ faults.
- You can pray to God so you get strength to face injustice, weakness or other bad things in this world. God won’t forget you and will always take care of you.
Please try and have a jealousy free living!

In interesting article although I don’t agree with it at all.
I see jealousy as something necessary, it keeps a relation healthy.
For any of my further views I’ve made an article here:

Dear TMrobotix,
Thanks for your comment. Here what I mean with “jealousy” is “envy feeling” rather than jealousy in a relationship. I will read your article though. Thanks for reading.

This is nice….
When we’re talking about jealousy, it can poisoned our mind, and it can drive our feeling in a bad way.
But I do agree with Tmrobotix that sometimes jealousy is necessary. As we all know that our God is a jealous God (Exodus 20:5).

Still I see jealousy, especially the first item on your list as a good thing.
If we would not compare ourselves too others all the time, certainly 50% of our motivation would collapse.
That would mean no one would like to become more rich, more pretty, more cars ect ect, that would mean no-one would buy luxury items any more, that would on it’s turn mean all factories could close.
You by now probably see an endless circle off, how you say it, sadness!
P.S. I’m going holiday for a week, so I come back in 7 days to respond on you again

Tmrobotix,
OK, I understand that you need jealousy as a stimulus to be better. But we can be better without comparing ourselves to others. For example A is good wearing red shirt then B, because he is jealous of A, also wears red shirt even though he looks bad in it… the factory and shop which produced the red shirt are running well, but for B it is only a wasted effort.
The other case C is jealous of D’s salary. Even though C works better & more dilligently, the fact D is cleverer than him so at the end D’s salary is still bigger than C regardless his effort to be better. It could make C sad.
I’d rather see that everybody is a unique person. Everybody should improve themselves with things that best suit to them. What is good to other doesn’t always good on us. If we let jealousy consume us, we won’t be happy seeing other’s success. More extreme a jealous man can destroy the life the man he jealous of. Just throw it, OK? There are still many ways to be better without jealousy.

In jealousy there is more self-love than love. (Frans, Duc de La Rochefoucauld, Maxims, 1665)
Envy is the art of counting the other fellow’s blessings instead of your own. (Harold Coffin)
Jealousy is no more than feeling alone against smiling enemies. (Elizabeth Bowen)

Hi there.
Well, a nice article.
Yet, sometimes it is hard to stay away from jealousy, especially when we see other are seemed more succes than us, no matter the evil way they reach the success.
