2010 Resolutions You Should Make
Resolutions you should make & keep in 2010.
- Become more active. I know everyone does the whole ‘I want to lose weight this year’ and then after about 4 months they trade in the diet & exercise for excuse after excuse as to why they are too busy, etc. Make your resolution to be more active, it doesn’t have the negative conotation the ‘e’word does, and it can mean many things: taking the stairs instead of the elevator, walking on your lunch break for 20 minutes, taking your dog for a walk 5 days a week for 10 minutes (trust me your dog will love you).
- Be a humanitarian. Make it a 2010 resolution to volunteer at a soup kitchen or animal shelter, raise money for a cause or collect supplies for a shelter. Not only will you be helping people/animals in need, it will work wonders for your karma.
- Get a green thumb. Plant a tree. Organize a neighbor tree planting party. Trees are very important to our environment they improve air quality and conserve water. Atleast 25 billion trees are cut down every year. The less trees, the worse our environment.
- Check off the bucket list. Do atleast one thing this year that you’ve always wanted to do. No excuse is valid, make the time, save the money, and do it! Then make it a habit to check something off every year.
- Become a vegetarian. A Vegetarian/Vegan lifestyle has many great health benefits. It reduces your risk of developing degenerative diseases, and it increases your energy and immune system. Look at my article on making the switch.
- Spend more time with family. Make the trip this summer, talk to them more on the phone, email more. Family is the most important thing in your life, they are who you are, and where you came from. If you don’t have family members close by, then go to a Retirement Home and visit with the elderly whose family may not come see them often, or a homeless shelter.
- GIVE UP SMOKING!!! Stick with it!!

I’m so onboard with all of these suggestions, except number 5. Just couldn’t do it. But more power to those that can.

Wow, these are great resolution! If every one can follow these, 2010 will be a “Health Year”.

Not “Health” but “Healthy”, sorry for the typing error.

Good post! I can’t do the vegan, either, though. I like my chicken and steak too much, I think.
