As the warm summer days are coming to an end, and cool, windy and rainy grey days are ahead of us, most people to fall into the autumn depression. Since women are more depressive them men it harder to avoid the autumn depression, especially for those who live in cold states or countries. I have moved from Miami, Florida to Moscow, Russia two years ago, and the climate change has really affected my life. But for all this time I was hear I learned to avoid season depression to make me happier and healthier! I hope these things will remind you of the cozy, candle light evening with you shining and shimmering and feeling great.
We all like to be pampered and looking great, but when its cold and grey outside we sometimes loose that enthusiasm. One great way to get that summer energy back is to go to a tanning salon. A tanning bed is a device that emits ultraviolet radiation that is somewhat similar to the sun, and provides you with a cosmic tan. While everyone is walking around the city with a gloomy look on there pale, white face you should be skipping around with a smile and a tan, which will always make you stand out. Out of my experience of tanning I have to mention that my skin got better. It became less oily and some blemishes and small pimples have disappeared. In tanning salons they do advise you to buy oils and lotions, but the best way to protect your skin and get a great tan is to use a very mild sunscreen. The lotions that they sell with bronzers tend to wash of and make your tan disappear faster. You wont be dark from the first time you tan, and you should start of slow depending on your skin. If your skin is sensitive then you should start of with five minutes the first few times that tan and them slowly increase to ten and then 15. If your skin is normal it would be better to start of with 10 minutes and then increasing to 15 and 20. You will look better and it sure will make you happier!
Since the weather isn’t summer like and warm we spend most of your time indoors, forgetting about some of our favorite outside activities. While stuck at home you can light a candle. It will give you that cozy and romantic feeling that you are by a fireplace. If you want you can light an incense, that will give you the feeling of comfort. Don’t look at the bad side of staying indoors, it will give you more quality time to spend with your family. Buy some movies to watch together or cook. Cooking helps ease stress and is a fun activity for everyone. You can look up an easy recipe for chocolate chip cookies or maybe brownies. Cooking also burns about 110 calories per hour!
Shopping is also a great to bring up you spirits! Don’t feel down because you have to spend more time getting dressed and feeling less attractive then you do in those summer skirts and tops. Doing some shopping is a great activity that is indoors and while kill some time. You can shop around for a new sweater for you or a loved one, which will brighten up the rainy day. A new pair of boots can always be great as well. Keeping your clothes in style is something that you must do, it will keep you looking and feeling great. Try to not to purchase colors such as black or grey, since we don’t get enough color out of this autumn season, psychologist say that it is better to buy colorful thing rather then plain, strict colors. Even if it is something for your house, try to make it stand out in its own bright color, it will give you a more cheerful mood. Another item that is always a must have during this season is an umbrella. Try to choice one that fits your personality but once again isn’t a plain color. And don’t forget to take those vitamins so you don’t get sick!
