A Great Opportunity is Beside You

Opportunity is said to be a favorable time for doing something. It’s also a situation or time given to a man to act and change his life.

Nature has provided for man diverse and wonderful opportunities that would change his destiny. But it’s unfortunate that only but a few of individuals on earth has grabbed opportunities when then come. Why do so many people still suffer in life, waiting for a miracle? I suppose it’s ignorant because they lack the necessary parabola that would transform their life.

The truth is this: opportunity is beside you. Yes it is! You might find it hard to accept that fact maybe because of where you live or your kind of friends, but it’s the truth. All you have to do is, look out of the window and you could see the sky, it doesn’t have only one color but diverse. I mean diverse colors. Even in your neighborhood, there is a great call waiting to be answered. That call can only be answered when you listen more than others. Look closely and you could see what your optical eyes cannot see; that is an opportunity for a change.

I want to share a beautiful story of opportunity with you. It’s about Mr. Johnson Jick.

Mr. Johnson Jick was a peasant farmer until 1998 when he turned into a millionaire. When his father died, he had left a large portion of land for Jick and his other brother. Jick was younger. And out of wickedness, his elder brother denied him his right and took the whole plots of land and built a hotel.

Jick was helpless but hopeful. Sometimes, circumstances acts as a hedge between us and a great opportunity. He asked for a plot of land from a neighbor so he could plant yams for some time and it was given to him. As God would have it, Jick was a hardworking farmer and his yams were ten times bigger than that of the villager’s. He saved some money and asked if he can buy the land. The land was sold to him. With wisdom, he left the land for sometime so it would fallow. When he returned to continue his farming, he discovered that the whole farmland was covered with a liquid. After several observation and experiment by the appropriate body, it was discovered to be an oil field.

Jick became rich within 2 months of the discovery because of opportunity which he seized. Yours might not be an oil field but a divine one that would position you for a dynamic change.

In a nut shell, a single opportunity is all you need for a change in your life. Bill Gates of Microsoft discovered a wonderful opportunity to invent software that has remained the best ever. You have a call to answer and believe me, that call is not far-fetched but beside you.
