A Healthier Way of Thinking

This is a great stress relieving technique that actually helps me, especially when it comes to schooling…

Many people get really stressed out when they got tons upon tons of work that comes piling up or in requiring numberous hours to complete. I gotten so stressed out that my head would throb in pain and I would feel extremely worn out afterward.

Before I took a test one day I felt like I had too many distractions around me and in my mind. I would think of games and entertainment at the most horrible of times, such as: before taking a test or preparing for a presentation. Here’s a “stress reliever” technique I found most promising in getting my mind ready for such events.

1.) Clearing your mind can be hard to do with so much at staik (like a big project that is due tommorow). Try finding a quiet area to go do this at, such as a librarey, in your room, or even at a local park.

2.) Close your eyes and envision all the thoughts in your head like they are pictures or even as small clouds.

3.) Imagine those clouds/ picutures going away like leafs in the wind as that wind makes them leave your mind

4.) Take deep breaths as you do this, you don’t need to do this for hours on end! If it isn’t working for you it means you mind is still too stressed. For me I envision a bright light in my head that the pictures would get sucked up into as if it’s the exit to my mind.

5.) Repeat this once more later on when you are about to present or take a test and imagine only what is needed from your mind at the time. Some times it’s best to imagine your mind like a large filing cabinet where you can pull out a file of the materials or knowledge you will be needing it for.

It all depends on your way of thinking, If your the type that wants to study hard it’d be good to take several breaks to help gather your thoughts. If your the non-study type, right before you take a test or presentation it’s good to refresh your mind (like in the morning or when your at your best) on the material that would be on it!
