Be Persistent
The world is full of ups and down and all successful work passed through difficulties and trials. Persistence still remains the key to success.
If you’ve had any experience with heavy-duty diesel engine, you’ll agree at once those periods when you have fuel cuts in the engine are not the best. After every fuel cuts, there’s always a need to free the fuel lines of air when hence priming become necessary. Priming is done by having the oil fill supply line with fuel by hand while the operator tries to start engine instead of the engine drawing fuel from the tank.
An Oilier maintains a constant flow until engine picks up. One thing about this process is that the fuel being supplied by the oilier must not cease from flowing and because of this, the process is a messy one for the oilier. But to get smooth working from engine, this process must be undertaken. It could be messy but it will end up producing the result. This is typical of some of life situations. You must keep pressing on to get the best result. Like pump, you need to prime hard and then harder through that smelly and messy situation to get to your destination.
If you stop, you might have to start all over again, so you need persistence to get your desired result. For you to get something out (power) you must put something in (effort). To succeed in life you’ve got to put all you have got into it. Push yourself beyond yourself “new powers are discovered”, wrote Robbert H. Shiller. “Every time you push yourself further than you’ve ever gone before, noting can hinder the man who has decided to give it all it takes so to get all he wants out of life.” What is behind us and what lies before us are small matters compared to what lies within us (Ralph Waldo Emerson). Go for it. Is it hard? Then do it hard! Be persistent. It might take an hour, a week, a month, a year, or even a decade of priming. But just keep on there because, any moment you stop, you lose all. Calvine Coolidge said, “Noting in this world takes the place of persistence”. Talent will not, noting is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not, the world is full of educated derelicts, persistence and determination are omnipotent. Move on.

I like where you went with this. I have to agree, that you should not give up, which is why I continue to write. I sometimes get the writer block, but still try until I come up with something. Life is full of challenges, victory is not possible if you give up.
