Borrowing Ideas From Others

Human Race has been evolving with everyone individual’s contribution. Everybody to some extent is responsible for who you are today.

One of the better places to find inspiration is in someone else’s work! Interestingly, everyone’s thoughts are linked with each person’s thoughts. Most people may view this piece of fact with a heavy eye of criticism, however, that does not alter the truth. On the metaphysical level we all are connected to each other. Therefore, it is possible for two or more people two come up with the same solution.

This is what gives birth to mass consciousness. Coming back to the our subject, we could benefit from the fact that it is normal to think like someone else. The only notable point is that we don’t end up being the exact copy of others. Browsing, through books and articles, you expose yourself to the questions you always wanted answered. It helps you feed your creativity with platforms on which it could advance to the next level. You remember, how the beautiful pictures from magazines and books drove our imaginations in our childhood.  Those were the agents that sparked the desire in our hearts. Desire to produce something that someone else would appreciate.

As we grew up we started sipping inspiration from actors, and musicians. Some, found the idea of healing sick people appealing while, others marvelled at the idea of constructing the longest bridge in the world. What we don’t see is that everyday as we live, we keep leaving a legacy for others. It might be just another day for you, but only the other person realizes how your actions influence them.

Dwell on the fact that if we hadn’t read good books, we would not have found the much needed ideas to begin; to decide; to ponder. Good fiction sows the seeds of imagination and creativity in our hearts. It awakens the true creator which within us.

It is beautiful thing to borrow raw material from someone and design beautiful homes from it. And guess what, looking at the finished product, the provider would be as much proud of those homes as the builder.

Feel free to borrow such building blocks from others and turn them into splendid structures. That cowboy appearing in your favorite book may not necessarily smoke pipe; you could turn him into a couch potato instead! Your heroine need not be a good cook. She could be a great flute player instead.

So, the possibilities are endless as long as your burner is burning. I bet even the biggest plagiarist in the world can come up with colorful ideas. At the end of the day its your unwillingness to recognize and appreciate your own creativity that turns you into a failure.
