Change Your Seat
Simple response to uncomfortable social encounters.
It has happened to all of us when we are in a room of other people. For some reason, all the sub-human morons seem to cluster where we are; and we decide to leave.
Whatever we’d gone to, be it a religious/cultural/educational function, we march out in disgust, not because of the presentation, but because of the company.
Recently I’ve embarked on a radical new program called; “Change Seats.”
It works like this; get up and move.
Move to another aisle, section, just get up and move. It is better to sit in the last row and be able to experience the presentation, then to be in the first, surrounded by obnoxious clowns who have no
respect for your rights.
If there are no seats, find a place to stand, because you might actually enjoy the presentation if you could get to enjoy the presentation.
Sometimes when you are seen standing, the staff might find a chair for you, or you’ll be directed to some other section. Sometimes standing at the back you find yourself amid persons who truly appreciate what is
happening and this lifts your ‘high’.
Some people attend a religious service for the same reason you cleanthe bathroom; it has to be done. They have no interest in what is being said.
Some people go to a lecture to ‘network’ and you might find you can’t hear the speaker because the idiot next to you is describing her marital problems to the one in front.
Don’t become annoyed, get up and move. It is better to have a ‘bad’ seat in a quiet area, then a ‘good’ one in a zoo.
The next time you find yourself beset by morons, don’t let them spoil the function, change seats.
