Common New Year’s Resolutions

New Year’s Resolutions, are they achievable or just meant to be broken? Here are most common New Year’s Resolutions written.

As the year changes, we tend to reflect and also challenge ourselves to change.  Writing New Year’s Resolutions is the first step for self-improvement. Here are some common New Year’s Resolutions written :

1.     Make a weight loss plan

2.     Give up smoking

3.     Drink occasionally or less alcohol

4.     Try to live a healthier lifestyle.   (Eat right food and exercise regularly)

5.     Save money and avoid overspending  (Use credit card wisely)

6.      Set an alarm  and avoid not to be late for appointments

7.      Take a vacation trip

8.       Be more independent

9.       Learn something new

10.    To be better either in career or study

It is advisable to have realistic resolutions, and  make sure to include concrete actions to achieve them.  Without specific plans it is more likely to be broken after a few days or for a short period of time.  If we can’t keep up  a “list” of resolutions,  we may opt to take only “one resolution” and  turn it into reality.

Make our  resolutions a complete  re”soul”utions.

I wish people would stop making New Year’s resolutions. Just puts pressure on them and frustrates them when they don’t achieve all their goals. Why can’t people just decide to do one thing at a time, no matter what time of the year is, and then just go ahead and do it? Works for me!

great piece – I always think positive ones – like learning new skills new experiences are a lot more motivational than trying to stop / quit / etc – those things are best done when you are ready to do them!

I think the way to go is to make the resolutions positive ones – like going to new places, new experiences -that way everyone’s a winner!

Great article….good luck to everyone else who intends to keep at least 1x
