Decide for Yourself, Don’t be a Dummy

Knowing what one supposes to do and capable of doing bring unquantifiable successes. In our quest to know the right, we may get mixed messages from different sources and the more you get people involved in your life, the more you paralyze your effectiveness, your ability to make a suitable decision. Taking after the multitude to decide can lead to misdirection of effort, doing what is not worth doing and we achieve what is not worthwhile. Indecision, unwise counsel can make free copies of failure available even in the midst of successes; the simple definition of indecisiveness is ‘I cannot decide for myself so I’m waiting for something, probably fate, to decide for me’ and the simplicity of those that cannot decide for themselves is faulty choices. Keith Harrell in his book ‘Attitude is everything’ says ‘…if you don’t act on life, it will act on you. If you don’t find direction for your life, something else will direct you. If you don’t decide where you are going, life will take you to a place you probably never wanted to be.’ Be original and creative: think for yourself, create the world that you choose and you will make the difference. Don’t float through life and allow circumstances to take you wherever they will. Write you own script. When you choose to do what the multitude says you are liable to fail. The people around us greatly determine the kind of life we live and the shape of our achievement, mainly when we choose to take guidance from them or emulate their life’s style; this can make us wrong in life. We respond or react base on what we hear mostly; however, our decisions must be based on the quality of the advice we get and not its attractiveness or the majority opinion of our peers; you don’t judge the value of advice by the numeral. The minority can give you the advice that leads to life.
