Deepak Chopra’s Seven Laws of Spiritual Success
An inspirational read for success in business and all aspects of your life and dreams…

I’ve read several books by Deepak Chopra, well renowned spiritual author and speaker. The books that I’ve read have truly changed my life and the way I think and view the world, completely.
One of the books, “The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success: A Practical Guide to the Fulfillment of Your Dreams” is a short, but highly valuable read. There are many straightforward points that truly make you think and reassess how you’re living your life. While many of these ideas are commonsense, sometimes when you hear or read them again, they remind you to not take these universal laws for granted. They remind you to use them in your everyday life and remain focused on only the very best things this world can offer you.
In a nutshell, here’s a short summary of each of the seven laws:
- The Law of Pure Potential – states that “pure knowledge, infinite silence, perfect balance, invincibility, simplicity, and bliss… is our essential nature.”
- The Law of Giving – explains that “every relationship is one of give and take.” That, “the more you give, the more you will receive…” So simple, yet such an important reminder, because many people wonder and wish for more without doing anything to create more in their lives. Instead, they wait for things to come to them, but Chopra reminds the reader that you must give to receive. That if you wish for more of anything, you can create and keep abundance circulating in your life by giving to others.
- The Law of “Karma” or Cause and Effect – is a law of the idea that “every action generates a force of energy that returns to us in like kind.” So truly, “what you sow is what you (literally) reap.” In other words, Karma is a “conscious choice-making” effect. Thus, it makes you realize that you truly have control over every facet of your life. It’s an empowering, humbling universal law of life.
- The Law of Least Effort- basically Chopra says that “if you observe nature at work, you will see that least effort is expended… that nature’s intelligence functions with effortless ease and abandoned carefreeness.” He states that “when your actions are motivated by love” this is when least effort is expended and “your energy multiplies and accumulates.” So it’s really true, all you need is love.
- The Law of Intention and Desire - the idea with this law is that “energy and information exist everywhere in nature” with intention being “the real power behind desire.”
- The Law of Detachment - says that “in order to acquire anything in the physical universe, you have to relinquish your attachment to it.” In other words, in order for your desires to come to fruition, you must detach yourself without basing your current happiness on the end result. You must simply trust and believe that your dreams will come true and they will.
- The Law of “Dharma” or Purpose in Life – in this final law, Chopra says that we all have a unique talent “something that you can do better than anyone else in the whole world” and that there’s a reason why we’re all here and it’s our purpose to find out why. And, once we do, it’s our purpose to share and give that unique talent to the world.
It’s a beautiful, beautiful read and if you get the chance to pick up the book, I hope you love it as much as I do!
