Detect a Liar

The First Clue that can reveal this: The person you are conversing with is very uncomfortable. If he is squirming, fidgeting a lot or doing something else that is quirky while answering your question, he is practically giving himself away.

The Second Clue that can reveal this: She cannot look you straight in the eye. If she looks down, up or to the side the entire time, she is busted. If you are telling the truth, you will have the guts to look straight at the other person’s face.

The Third Clue that can reveal this: He is too inconsistent. He says something different every few seconds, he keeps contradicting what he said previously and his story is full of holes.

The Fourth Clue that can reveal this: She changes her story. Later in your interrogation, she starts saying something that does not come close to matching what she said earlier, just to satisfy you.

The Fifth Clue that can reveal this: He has a weak alibi. There is no person or evidence that can confirm what he says.

The Sixth Clue that can reveal this: There is shakiness in her voice. It is hard to speak with confidence and conviction when you are being dishonest.

The Seventh Clue that can reveal this: He becomes defensive. He snaps or appears to be flustered while denying what you are accusing him of.

The Eighth Clue that can reveal this: She is sort of being a copycat. She continues to start her defense by repeating your question in an effort to stall for time.

The Ninth Clue that can reveal this: He is too forgetful about what he is saying. You know something is wrong if he cannot even recall the smallest details.

The Tenth Clue that can reveal this: She is not on the ball. She takes too long to answer the question.

The Eleventh Clue that can reveal this: His facial expression tells you all you need to know. He is smiling or giggling while not taking the situation seriously.
